*A National Safety Council Program*

 The National Safety Council’s   “ Supervisors’ Development Program”  will educate your supervisors and team leaders about the importance of health & safety issues in the workplace. Candidates will be provided with the skills and knowledge necessary to eliminate workplace hazards, educate employees in safe work practices & procedures, and enforce all safety rules and policies. This course reflects the organizational structure and management philosophy shift toward empowered employees and self – directed teams.

Material Handling & Storage – Identifying Problems, Designing Solutions & Generating Awareness....
Electrical Safety – How Electric Current Works, Electrical Hazards & Safe Working Procedures....
Fire Safety – Controlling Fire Hazards, Employee Education, Fire Prevention & Emergency Measures....
Hazard Communication – OSHA Standard, Identifying Materials & Label Requirements, Written Inventories & MSDS's....
Environmental Management – EPA & Key Standards, Chemical & Environmental Management, Training & Personnel Issues & Emergency Response

EXAMS: There will be a closed book exam at the end of each day.
CEU's:  2.4   CEU's  from the Massachusetts Safety Council

ATTENDANCE:  Participants can attend individual days or all three. Each day of the program is repeated twice a year, in the spring & fall.   NSC certificates are awarded only to those who complete all three days.
